A large turnout of Maine Cycling Club members and community at large cyclists made an appearance to take part in the Ethan Barton Memorial Silent Monday Night Ride.  In attendance, many members of the MCC Board of Directors, and many, many members sporting their MCC kits.

There was a somber feeling in the air as everyone made their way toward the sight where Ethan lost his life, 20 years ago on this day (May 21, 1998).

The riders were greeted by Mr and Mrs Barton, who were grateful for the overwhelming show of support by the cycling community.  Riders also carried flowers with them to leave upon the Ghost Bike Memorial erected by Ethan’s parents earlier in the day.
