Join us as we get prepare for the Patrick Dempsey Challenge!
On October 2nd and 3rd, 2010 thousands of people will join our team in The Dempsey Challenge: A Journey For Hope, a bicycle tour and run/walk event designed to raise both cancer awareness and funds for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Please join us while we cycle this summer in preparation for the 100 miles. While we are having fun and getting fit this sumemr we will also be raising money for the Center!
Listed on this page are several tips on how to train properly, eat right and be able to complete the Patrick Dempsey Challenge.
The Dempsey Challenge is Sat AND Sun, October 2nd & 3rd, 2010
and it plans to be a BIG event
for Lewiston/ Auburn!
We request your help with making us (Maine Cycling Club) the Team with the
most members! There are two"TEAM" awards: 1. The team that raises the
most money AND 2. The team with the most members.
Important considerations:
1. You do not have to be a member of MCC to register on the team
2. You can either ride OR run/walk the event (it does not matter which bike
route you ride)
3. You do not have to raise money; just pay the registration fee ($75.00 to
bike or $25.00 to run/walk)
4. Tell all your friends to register and join under our team, Maine Cycling
Club!
5. Step by step instructions on how to register under the MCC team:
Visit the website at www.dempseychallenge.org
Click on Teams and then on Current Teams
Scroll down until you see Maine Cycling Club - Jim Carmichael and click on this team.
At the top of the team page in blue - click "Join
Our Team".
On the waiver and agreement page (after reading) click I agree.
Fill out the information reauested on the Information Form page. When you select which ride or walk the fee of $75 or $25 respectively will be charged to the credit card that you entered. Don't forget to select your t-shirt size!
Your registration is now complete. However, if you choose to make an additional donation, please complete the information under Donation and/or Fundraising Goal.
Click continue at the bottom of the page.
You have the option to print the credit card transaction information for your records.
