2018 Dempsey Challenge Maine Cycling Club Team
We have brought back the Maine Cycling Dempsey challenge team. To join the Maine Cycling club team, first log in to the Dempsey Challenge registration page. Search for the “Maine Cycling Club” team. Normal registration fee is $75.00. If you join through the Maine Cycling team you get a $10.00 discount by entering the code BIKECLUB18. Included with your registration is one ticket to the Lobster Luncheon, but additional tickets can be purchased for $15.00 each. Once you join, the club will offer the following support:
- Weekly club rides at beginner, intermediate, or advanced riding levels to get you in shape for the event.
- A weekend destination ride showcasing the new Dempsey Challenge 1-Day route that now travels through Lisbon, Durham, and Topsham.
- Worried about the $150 Minimum Fundraising Requirement? We as a club can create an independent fundraising event, supported and advertised by the Dempsey Center, to help raise funds as a group to be divided among our participants.
- A Welcome ride with “Fast Freddie” and national pro riders on September 29th. This is fun paced warm up ride that gives us a chance to meet and greet between the professional riders, club members, and guests to the Lewiston/Auburn area riding in the Dempsey Challenge. Okay, there may be a little bit of sprinting to size up the pros over the last couple of miles.
- A group to ride with during the Dempsey Challenge, should you want company for the ride.
- Fun! Most importantly, we do have lots of fun.
