Maine Cycling Club Racing - 2009

Each year the Maine Cycling Club hosts FOUR local races to help support bicycle racing and the community! Many of our members gladly volunteer their time to make these races a success. We also have several members that particpate in our races proudly wearing the Maine Cycling Club colors.

The 2nd Annual Dick Williamson Time Trial was held June 28th 2009

The Maine Cycling Club is proud and honored to present the Dick Williamson Memorial Time Trial. Named for a beloved member of our club who has moved on to a place where the sun always shines and there’s always a tailwind. We miss you Dick! The race is part of the Peak Performance Maine Time Trial Series and is contested on a 14 mile one way course with one rather long climb about 10 miles in. Every year attendance grows and average speeds seem to grow with them. Time Trials are a great way to try your hand at racing with out the pressure of staying with the pack.
