Our goal is to attract cyclists of all abilities, meet other cyclists in the community, experience the benefits of group riding, share knowledge of the sport and enjoy the rural scenery of Maine. We continue to expand our outreach activities within the community to foster cycling for all levels of riders. We are a very active club with a priority of having fun!
The club welcomes new members to join us at any time during the year. Organized outdoor rides run from late April to early October and we occasionally organize other rides throughout the year.
We offer a variety of group rides that are suited to all abilities.
We encourage non-members and cyclists who are visiting Maine to join us on our group rides (a waiver must be signed prior to the ride). You can find a list of the group rides and associated maps on the links above. All of the group rides provide a ride leader who will manage the pace and keep the group together to maintain a group riding experience.

My husband and I joined MCC 3 years ago for something we could do together. We have met and made friends with many great people in the cycling community. We now include cycling in our vacation plans. When not riding we also enjoy camping, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, and hiking.

I love being active and biking is a way for me to stay active while being outdoors.Several years ago I discovered the MCC group rides and I have enjoyed the compainionship and adventures ever since then. I also enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and being involved in ice hockey. I am looking forward to giving back to the club by being involved as a board member.
I'm Jenny's husband.
I rode for years since starting in 1970 but went on to other sports until finding myself in LA when my hospital announced the first Dempsey Challenge in 2009. I got motivated, bought a new bike at Rainbow and connected with Maine Cycling Club evening rides, starting slow (but still improving). Good fun, new friends, and a few scars. Ride safe!

I transitioned from running to cycling 6 years ago, and instantly fell in love with the sport! My husband and I decided to join the Maine Cycling Club four years ago. MCC members have supported my growth from a D to a "C+" rider, and have become dear friends along the way. I truly don't think I would be as confident a rider without MCC. I am happy to be a board member, so that I may support and encourage others as well. When we're not cheering our kids on in hockey, tennis, or baseball, we make it a priority to be outdoors biking or skiing.
My wife and I joined MCC 3 years ago for something we could do together. She does not play tennis but has supported me while I travelled and competed in USTA tennis for the past 25 years. We have met and made friends with many great people in the cycling community. We now include cycling in our vacation plans. When not riding we also enjoy camping, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, and hiking.
