Our goal is to attract cyclists of all abilities, meet other cyclists in the community, experience the benefits of group riding, share knowledge of the sport and enjoy the rural scenery of Maine. We continue to expand our outreach activities within the community to foster cycling for all levels of riders. We are a very active club with a priority of having fun!
The club welcomes new members to join us at any time during the year. Organized outdoor rides run from late April to early October and we occasionally organize other rides throughout the year.
We offer a variety of group rides that are suited to all abilities.
We encourage non-members and cyclists who are visiting Maine to join us on our group rides (a waiver must be signed prior to the ride). You can find a list of the group rides and associated maps on the links above. All of the group rides provide a ride leader who will manage the pace and keep the group together to maintain a group riding experience.
I've been cycling for 5 years. I started with the 13 mile D Group and progressed to the 100 mile Dempsey Challenge in only 3 years because of the support of the riders in the Maine Cycling Club. Now, I look forward to giving my support to new riders.

My husband Eric and I reside in Auburn where we participate in many outdoor activities. In addition to cycling, I enjoy running and will be participating in the 2011 Boston marathon.
I am also co-owner of Back 40 Timing and Event Services - a timing and race management company. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my 3 grandchildren.
Beryle Martin
Born, raised and educated in Lewiston. I am the CEO (Chief Everything Officer) of Curry Printing & Mailing. While most of us as kids rode bikes, I continued to do so when most of my friends stop riding. I'm not a competitive cyclist. Instead, I find cycling to be a great way to relax from the daily stress of life.

Only person in my 1964 high school graduating class to ever be caught riding a bicycle. Fell in love again with cycling and Ernesto Colnago in 1971. The flame still burns brightly.

At age 3 my ankle and the rear wheel spokes became one tangled mess, nearly lost my leg, my mother thought for sure that would put an end to my cycling, not! My passion is helping others achieve their next level of riding, especially the beginner, their successes are huge!
Barbara Fogarty (Vice President)
I'm a "C" level rider, a frequent ride leader, and the newest member of the "Golden Oldies". We ride for fun but occasionally have been known to put down the hammer! When I'm not on my bike I enjoy refereeing youth hockey and high school soccer.

I have been an avid cyclist since 2001 and have been a MCC member since the club was established in 2005. I joined the club in an effort to help me become a better rider and to share my love of cycling with others. I became a board member to try and give back to a club that has given me so much.
My husband Mark and I along with our 3 boys live in New Gloucester. I became active with MCC when my son Jackson joined the club a few years ago. Even though I don't ride I wanted to be there to support my son. In my spare time I like to sew, cross stitching and word search puzzles.
My wife Chris and I are life-long residents of the Lewiston/Auburn area. We are outdoor enthusiasts, we cross country ski, snowshoe, canoe, kayak and hike when not pedaling. We both love the buzz of cycling events and the excitement it brings to the community.
